I am really dry inside and have congested sinus whichnothing has helped for and i also have stagnated lymph.Im just extremely dry & dehydrated inside.the problem is i cant just drink water because i have a " ball" of phlegm or water in my stomach spleen qi deficiency? so whenever i drink water thristy but dont wish cant be bothered to drink i dont feel any less thirsty or any less dehydrated.I think i posibly have heat inside my stomach that is consuming fluids the water so it deosnt get wher it need to like my cells etc so i dont feel hydrated.Also i have much qi stagnation.My question is is it ok to take things like chen pi or any other types of peels to move the stagnated qi or will this make me even more dry inside because are peels like chen pi drying?Are they good to take if you already have dry condition or would there be soemthing else someone should take if they have stagnated qi but also have dry condition?Another question is i also have alot of insubstantial phlegm everythign i eat just seems to turn into phlegm.Ive tried herbs for spleendeficiency plus western herbs like mulein for lungs but its all still there.My lungs are not able to transform cough up the phlegm.Does that mean i need herbs to strengthen my lungs?is that lung yang deficiency?What herbs would you recommend to strengthen my lungs?Western herbs would be betetr if you can recommend but chinese herbs would be ok too.Any foods you could recommend would be even better. i dont cough at all,it just seems my lungs have no strnegth to get rid of the hidden phlegm Also what would you recommend for constipation.Fibre doesnt help me & isnt good because i already have slow transit time & seems to make it even slower.My stools are hard.I think perhaps stomach heat is drying hardening them so thats why i have constipation?I need a food or herb that isnt fibre and that isnt oily phlegm producing & that isnt too severe drastic like cascara.Rhubarb root helps me but i need something that i can take more regularly.Something that is moistening but not oily.Aloe vera helped me once but for some reason the next bottle didnt help at allAlso is there a food or herb that would speed the transit time because things are being left in my intestines too longThanxThanks Dinah we''ll have to agree to disagree.The theory of chinese medicine isnt wrong in fact in many ways its more advanced then western md medicine considering it originated so many years ago.However,the terms are often wrong and i believe should be changed.For example the term " spleen qi" doesnt mean spleen as the organ spleen.It actually means the digestive function including diestion & assimilating nutrients.Its wrong that its called spleen deficiency because it isnt about the spleen organ & should be changed becuase it causes peopel much confusion & people that just look at Chinese medicine on surface therefor assume the theories are wrong & not compatible with what is known today about medicine & anatomy.Also the same thing goes for terms like liver yang rising which peopel then assume has to do with the liver & that chinese medicine is incorrect.Terms like those need to be chnaged because liver yang rising really has little if not nothing to do with the liverbut more to do with the nervous system.The terms are wrong however the theory and practice of chinese medicine is not wrong and is brilliant actually and has helped me previously in many ways where western md medicine caused more problems.I have nothing against " western" medicine and sometimes its more beneficial for a person to take western medicine and sometimes its beneficial for a person to take chinese medicine.Balance is the key.That said,i do respect chinese medicine just as much as i respect western md medicine.There are lousy practitioners in both fields and there are good ones in both fields too
Traditional Chinese Medicine?
Has anyone ever taken any of the traditional chinese medicine from the Tong Ren Tang pahrmacy, headquartered in Beijing? When I was visiting, I bought some herbs for my migraines and now that I am back home, I think I paid too much for something that's not going to work. Any suggestions? If you have used it, please let me know your results Thanks I purchased Dong Chong Xia Coa Zao Ren capsules and Lai Fu Zi Capsules. This was after a consultation with their on site herbalist.
